Check it out...Here's a very uncommon set of 6 (SIX!) circa-1940-60s era booklets / brochures and a lunchbox from the famed Carlsbad Caverns near Route 66 in Carlsbad, New Mexico- There are 3 original 5 3/4" wide x 9 1/4" tall multi-paged booklets (One is dated 1948 and two are dated 1952) and all 3 are titled "Carlsbad Caverns National Park New Mexico" with a map of the cave on and many pages of images, history & info about the cave inside and all were issued by the National Service,One is an @5x7 bifold National Parks Service brochure dated 1956 inside, One is an 11" wide by 5" tall by 3" deep cardboard box that folds into a lunchbox distributed by the old restaurant that used to be located way down in the cave-It has a real photo image of the restaurant and reads: "Carlsbad Cavern's Lunch. Served 750 Feet Underground" on the lid (A true relic, how many of these throwaway items survived?) and the last one is a 4" wide by 9" long foldout brochure from the 1960s era titled: "Carlsbad Caverns Nat'l Park White's City, New Mexico. World's Largest Underground Attraction. Over 8 Million Visitors" with a full-color image of an interior cave formation on the front cover and an ink stamp reading: "Compliments of Aquarena San Marcos, Texas" on the front cover -Lengthy text and lots of great photos from the cave inside including lots of history, photos and a map of the cave inside-Has very little wear for their age-A great vintage travel set ready for display! So please be aware that we NO LONGER SHIP FIRST CLASS MAIL INTERNATIONALLY unless seller agrees to ship by USPS Priority mail at an increased rate. Postage rates are non-negotiable and non-refundable. We pack every item professionally using new packing materials and appropriate mailing supplies. We send all items via US Postal Service.The U.S.Postal service rates change fairly regularly every year and we don't make money on postage like some other ebay sellers. I try and place a penny in every photo to help judge the size of the item, obviously it is there for size comparison and is not included with the item. Many of the items are VINTAGE and although they are in very fine condition, they may not function as well as when they were made decades ago. So if you intend on using the old item, please be aware that we are selling it for collector value only. In other words, if you intend on using a 50+ year old letter opener and it breaks, don't get mad at us. It may be hard to believe, but we have received a couple negatives because people broke vintage items while trying to use them.
