1871) Up for your consideration is this Antique WWl Wooden Ammunition Box W/original Military Green Paint.. The dovetail constructed ammunition box considering it’s age which is World War II was from 1914 to 1918 is in amazing condition. The lock and hinge works perfectly. On the inside on the bottom of the box are images of the ammunition that went into the box showing the direction that they should be placed. How cool is that!Outside of normal wear for a piece of this age it is in excellent condition. And the only wear that it does have is some some scratches and some scrapes and some missing paint. And there are two small cracks on the bottom of the box.Unfortunately it’s missing its original leather handle to each someone has replaced with leather shoelaces it serves it’s purpose perfectly. I know the color of the boxes indicated different purposes and different ammunition for different weapons. Great piece of American history. Believe it or not the person that I acquired this from used it as a shoebox there are four holes on top where the shoe rest would go. And I have the shoe rest listed in my store if you want to reunite the two pieces. If you buy the box and want the shoe rest I’ll throw it in on the deal.Everything indicated in photographs.
