Imperial German, WW 1 Great War, RARE MINT( 1902-1918 ) Navy Officers Dress Brocade Belt & Buckle with Original Storage Box. In over 40 years of collecting I have never had a belt in this condition to offer. You will never have the opportunity to acquire a dress officers belt & buckle in this condition. Germany had a very small Navy prior to Tirpitz taking the helm of the Imperials Navy it was an extremely small part of the German military. This is a Very Rare MINT Belt & Buckle. Brocade Dress Belts are quite rare as they were only used in ceremonial occasions, finding one in Mint condition with the original storage box is beyond rare. Over 40 years of collecting Militaria, I’ve been fortunate to have found two of these. Imperial Germany was a federation of twenty-seven kingdoms, duchies, principalities and "free and imperial cities". By far the largest of these components was Prussia, whose King also bore the title of German emperor.
