    Imperial German, WW 1 Great War, Kaiserliche Marine, Naval Officers Shoulder Board for an Oberleutnant. Germany had a very small Navy prior to Tirpitz taking the helm of the Imperial Navy and it was an extremely small part of the German military. This is a Rare Item. The Officer's Visor Cap pictured is NOT INCLUDED. Imperial Germany was a federation of twenty-seven kingdoms, duchies, principalities and "free and imperial cities". By far the largest of these components was Prussia, whose King also bore the title of German emperor.
