KEARNEY TRECKER K&T 2K-3K MILLING MACHINE SPIRAL DRIVE GEAR FOR VERTICAL HEAD. Shipped with USPS First Class.
Up for auction is a shop made replacement spiral drive gear for a K&T 2K-3K / 2H-3H horizontal mill. This is the 35tooth spindle drive gear to power a “Standard High Speed Adjustable Universal Milling Attachment”.
What you are buying is a 35-tooth 7 DP right hand helix gear. This will bolt directly to you NMTB50 Taper spindle, and mesh with the 21-tooth 7DP left hand helix gear inside vertical head. Picture included of dimensions.
This is a shop made gear out of annealed 4340 steel, and it will not be heat treated as I currently do not have those capabilities. See pictures the gear is not 100%complete, and would need the following completed by purchaser:
Install a drive disc on front of gear (5.833" diameter x .250" thick). This disc allows proper setting of gear mesh.
Slot out back of gear to accept drive dogs. You can also choose to remove the drive dogs on your spindle, eliminating this step.
