Original WWI German Artillery Luger Holster, Takedown Tool and Cleaning Rod.........THIS HOLSTER CAME FROM THE ESTATE OF A WWII VET WHO BROUGHT IT HOME ALONG WITH THE ORIGINAL P.38 HOLSTER SHOWN IN THE PHOTO ABOVE......
This is a Beautiful WWI Artillery Luger Holster made for the famed 3rd Bavarian Corps which was formed in 1814.  The holster is complete with the
Original Luger Takedown Tool and Cleaning Rod
.   I am unable to see a date but the stamp, albeit faint, "Lieferungsgenoss... Der Sattler..." is what I am able decipher; and they are a pretty rare maker. This stamp is upside down on the interior lid piece of leather.  With the exception of the strap which is torn and a scuff toward the toe (with verdigris) caused by the stock attachment, the leather is in very nice condition to be over 100 years old, with minimal wear and minor cracking.   Stitching is all original and intact. This is an excellent collector grade holster.
