No tears, stains, all pages intact, no hand written notes, etc. The original mailing envelope is tatered in many spots & a little age brittle (see photo). In the 1960's while an intern with a motion picture documentary production co. I worked on doing a movie for TV of Jim White & the history surrounding his exploration of the Caverns. I'm including my original 1961 letters (60 years ago) from the Acting Superintendent, U.S. Dept of Interior (see photos). Also, my telephone call with Jim White Jr. when he lived in Marysville, Calif. July 21, 1961. I've included his tel. # & address at that time. Mrs. White was living in Hobbs, NM., at this time.
