This is an unused, still sealed MPC Slot Car of the SC-100, with their Dyno or Dyn-o technology from 1965.
Screaming Out Of The Future and touted as the World's Fastest Production Slot Racer and also The World's First Automatic Front Wheel Brakes. This car is based on a
Harry Bradley design. Harry Bradley was a designer for Mattel as well in the 1960s. The same design was used for the
1964 Lindberg GT-200 Concept Car model kit, which was then reissued as the SC-100 Roadster with and open top, and then the SC-100 Experimental Sport Coupe.
This MPC Slot Car is the closed bubble coupe version. It is semi built with the top body off, so customers could marvel at the chassis work and brake mechanism. The parts are sealed in the tray but there were probably rubber bands holding the chassis portion down and they have
deteriorated, so some movement of it is inevitable during shipping. The top of the car's bubble looks like it has scuffing from sliding under the cardboard but that may just be the cellophane. The colorful display sleeve is in excellent and clean condition with some minor wrinkling. This has the original outer sleeve as well, how it was shipped to Hobby Shops and Retailers.
All in all a very attractive vintage 1960s futuristic Slot Car, beautifully presented in it's time capsule box. From a smoke free environment
