    Estate sale find, original vintage illustrated Recreational Map of New Mexico, Land of Enchantment, Wilfred Stedman, circa 1946.
    Decorative pictorial map of New Mexico, published by the New Mexico State Tourist Bureau.
    Fine pictorial map by artist Wilfred Stedman highlighting the attractions of the state and giving a clear indication of the varied influences at work there.
    Shows Aztec ruins, Native American Indians (Apaches, Navajo, etc.), Spanish dancers, bucking broncos, fossil beds, and the Grave of Billy the Kid, as some of the many items featured with pictographs.
    Wilfred Henry Stedman (1892-1950) was trained as an architect, and did freelance work as an illustrator, including WPA projects in New Mexico. The Stedmans often collaborated in designing, building, and remodeling New Mexican adobe houses, in addition to their separate painting projects.
    The item measures approximately 17" X 22", approximate shipping weight 4 ounces.
